Sharepoint 2016 - critical error in the event log -

Question

After upgrading to sharepoint 2016 from sharepoint 2013 ( new servers with the database copy and attch upgrade method) ,there is a critical error in the event log:

"The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.LMTRepopulationJob (ID 836520e8-a902-45d6-939d-d478899b4125) threw an exception

There are no addresses available for this application.."

Event Id 6398.

The latest log files for sharepoint might have more info.

How do i fix this ?

Hi @Greg Booth ,

1.Please check whether the status of User Profile service is started.

Central Administration->Manage services on server->START User Profile service

Right-click on cmd.exe and select Run as administrator, type IISRESET.

2.Check the operation log of the Feed Cache Repopulation Job history for failure records.
