Hi,

While installing VMware Workstation Pro in both (Windows 10 and Windows 11), I see this message.

I did Google search and found ways for disabling Hyper-V and Device/Credential Guard.

Please let me know,

  1. If I disable Hyper-V and Device/Credential Guard, what can be its effect for Windows in terms of security?
  2. For Windows 11 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1344) Home Single Language, how to disable Device/Credential Guard?

With Regards

You can read here what Credential Guard provides and what will be missed if disabled.

As to disabling you can use the regedit described here.

    2. unzip and start a Powershell terminal as an administrator: "run as administrator"
    3. run this command (change Your_UseName to yours): cd C:\Users*Your_UserName*\Downloads\dgreadiness_v3.6
    4. run: .\DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable
    5. restart your PC and follow the on-screen options. (F3 or Windows key for disabling...)
    6. install the latest VMware Pro Workstation
