how to read a txt file on a remote Unix server using R

Hello,

I am able to connect to our Unix remote server using a ssh_connect. But from that point, I would like to know if we need to copy a text file from the Unix server (remote) to the windows server to be read by R of if there is a way to read it directly from the remote server and if so, how?

Please provide example.
