Hello,

We have a 2019 windows server that is acting as a Remote Desktop Server. Remote Apps (Work resources) works fine on windows 10 devices on an internal and external network, however, on a windows 11 device it will only work properly on the internal network. If i were to use Remote Desktop Connection to directly connect to the RDS it will connect just fine, but when I use our Remote Apps the error i am getting is "An authentication error has occurred. The token supplied to the function is invalid. Remote Computer: ......."

We are using Direct Access to connect to the internal network.

Please let me know if you have any ideas how to fix this.

    Hello there,

Have you made any recent updates on the device? If so try to uninstall them as there are history of updates creating this issue.

Try the below steps and see if that helps if you have not made any recent updates.

Click 'Start' > 'Accessories' > 'Remote Desktop Connection'

Click the 'General tab', and check the box called 'Always Ask for Credentials'.

    Click 'Save'.

If NLA is enabled on your RDP server, this means that CredSSP is used for RDP users’ pre-authentication. You can disable Network Level Authentication in the System Properties on the Remote tab by unchecking the options “Allow connection only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (recommended)”

Hope this resolves your Query !!
