I'm trying to sign into a Teams meeting and am getting the message:"Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application."

The meeting was set up with a business account but I’ve got a paid, personal Microsoft account. I can access the meeting on my iPhone, iPad and in my browser, but I get the above error message with the Teams app my my Mac. It worked until a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea what a “tenant" is.

Any solutions?

    Hi @Armstrong360

As mentioned above, if it's only happening on certain devices, try these troubleshooting:

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
    2. In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
    3. Enter the following command, and then press Return:
    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    1. Restart Teams.

Also, please check that your device condition meets the hardware requirements in the documentation.

If its working on other devices then there may be a possible compatibility issue with Teams on your Mac.

Try using the web version of Microsoft Teams on your Mac instead of the app. If that doesn't work you may need to directly contact Microsoft Support since this could be an account specific issue or device issue.
