How to use Azure sphere device as a wifi access point

Hi. We want to add/change wifi credentials of our device through phone after the initial setup at the factory. Is there any way to use the Azure sphere device as wifi access point.

Hello @SatishBoddu-MSFT, we have already chosen BLE or UART if it's not possible to use azure as a wifi access point. So just want to know whether it is possible to use azure as wifi access point. Thank you.

Is it possible to configure an Azure Sphere device to act as a Wi-Fi access point and allow users to connect to it and change the Wi-Fi credentials through a phone or other device, is my understanding correct?

The below information may help with your initial query!

Configure Wi-Fi with local access to a device (without service port)

For example, for consumer products where end users configure Wi-Fi, NFC or Bluetooth may result in more user-friendly experiences, while for products that are installed by professional installers or sysadmins who can use a hardware dongle to interface with the product, the UART option has lowest cost overhead.

"I understand that you're hoping for this feature, but at the moment we're not able to commit to it. It's something we've discussed and is on our backlog, but we don't have a timeline for when it might become available. We appreciate your interest and will keep you updated if there are any developments."
