Im testing Azure AD sync and have successfully managed to install it and connect it. When i add a new user on my on prem AD after a few minutes it appears on AAD but it has wrong username. For example: all my users have a AAD username in format ******@teams.company.com but when i add a user on my on prem ad it appears on AAD with ******@company.onmicrosoft.com username. How do i change this so that it appears as my old users?

Do you have verified custom domain name in Azure AD? If yes you can use the configuration of UPN in the AAD Connect and check the settings over here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/plan-connect-userprincipalname

i have verified custom domain name in AAD but i dont see the same settings as the ones in the link you posted. I am using Azure AD Connect Cloud Sync
due to compliance issues with some internal procedures im forced to stop testing. Admins can close this post
