New CM secondary site - Boundary Group

Hi, I want to migrate existing CM secondary site (site server is in child domain to be decom) to new CM secondary site (site server is in parent domain) so for some time they will co-exist. My question is what is going to happen when I specify Boundary Group during creation of new CM secondary site already "used" by existing CM secondary site server? If I am not mistaken selecting BG is required step during CM secondary site creation.

    Hi @Bojan Zivkovic,

A DP will be installed on the site server when we install the secondary site, on the Boundary Groups page, we will select the boundary groups for this distribution point.
When a client requests content, Configuration Manager sends the client a list of all Distribution Points that have the content.

This behavior enables the client to select the nearest server from which to transfer the content or state migration information.

Thanks for your time and patience.

    Best regards,
    Cherry

So there won't be any conflict? Having deployed new secondary site I will gradually start content replication to it from existing secondary site in the same network. If both secondary site servers (existing and new) "serve" same boundary group would this cause any problems with clients and what about their site assignment due to two secondary sites "sharing" same boundary group? Very unfamiliar territory I am dragged into due to bad forest design/old HW so I have to ask all this.
