We have a long-running chat thread that we use for Dev Support. We’ve been adding users to it over time and now have 44 users, and we want to retain the content. It was started as a Teams meeting chat and so has the Calendar icon at the top.

Is there a way of converting it to a regular chat (not a meeting)?

Or any other recommendations you might suggest to retain the conversations?

Hi @Thilina Tantirigama

Converting to a normal group chat is currently not supported. When the meeting ends or cancels, all chats will continue to be preserved and members can still be added. To get this feature more quickly, I have found feedback in Teams UserVoice, and you could vote for it.

Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding and support.
