    Hello @Ahmad Halabi ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.

I understand that you would like to know how to check your current Azure NAT Gateway Charges.

Azure NAT gateway billing starts when the resource is created.

    The charges are as below:

    Resource Hours $0.045 per hour

    Data Processed $0.045 per GB

There is no charge for data transfer within a virtual network.

But any outbound traffic going via the NAT gateway will be charged as data processed.

    Refer: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/virtual-network/

You can use Cost analysis to see a summary of your cost over time to identify trends and break costs down to understand how you're being charged for the services you use.

NOTE: Cost Management isn't available for classic Cloud Solution Provider and sponsorship subscriptions.

You must have Read access to use Cost Management. You might need to wait 48 hours to view new subscriptions in Cost Management.

    Refer: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/costs/quick-acm-cost-analysis

Cost analysis has two types of views:

    • smart views that offer intelligent insights and more details by default.
    • customizable views you can edit, save, and share to meet your needs.

In the Azure portal, go to Cost Management + Billing --> Cost Management --> Cost Analysis (Preview)/Cost Analysis --> All views --> Smart Views --> Resources (this month) --> Search for NAT gateway and expand to check the usage.

    Hello Ahmad,

To understand your current expense, you can either use cost analysis to view your expenses or download the usage report and review for the service you are looking for. Below are the reference documentation for both:

Azure cost analysis to view expenses: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-GB/azure/cost-management-billing/costs/quick-acm-cost-analysis#analyze-costs-with-customizable-views

Download usage report: Please search for cost mamanegemt in azure global search and select Billing scope, there you can find the billing account type, based on the billing account type you can follow the steps shared in the below document link to download and review your usage before planning to implement.

    Download azure usage: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/understand/download-azure-daily-usage

Furthermore, you can also make use of azure pricing calculator and keyin all your existing current details and see the projection and use the details to estimate cost for future purchase

    Azure pricing calculator: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/pricing/calculator/

In case of you find it difficult to follow any of the above steps you can engage Azure billing support team who can assist you further.

Engage Azure billing support team: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request#go-to-help--support-from-the-global-header

    Hope this helps!

    Kind Regards,

    Divya.

    HI,

Switch to IPv6 -especially for internal resources- and save this cost definitively.

Hi folks, just wanted to add here that NAT gateway processes all outbound AND return traffic when associated with a subnet in a virtual network. This means that any return traffic that is a response to an outbound originating flow will also be processed by NAT gateway and charged against NAT gateway as well. Thanks.
