How do I view the Dedicated pool as a Azure SQL DB

Hi, I have a Stream analytics job. I need to bring one reference input from a Synapse dedicated pool. Can I view or configure the dedicated pool as a Azure SQL DB so that I can bring the data in my ASA job (as the ASA only allows Azure SQL DB).

Hi,

There's no easy way or direct way of doing this. You should be replicating your reference data from azure synapse to azure SQL tables using copy wizard or copy activity. Pl let us know if there is anything else that we could assist with respect to this.

Hi, replicating data is not preferred in my case. I have created a dedicated pool and trying to see the pool as SQL DB reference input, no luck yet. (I am thinking this is possible as underlying all are SQL Server instances)

Hi, Just the reverse is possible, in the sense, you can view azure SQL db as synapse dedicated sql pool db. But reverse is not possible without duplicating the objects and periodic sync up
