Asked this question in another forum; referred here. Copying my issue:

issue is with default name that displays when I send / receive emails. Clicking on that name sends me here:

https://nam.delve.office.com where I can update my profile and change some information. However, still won't let me change the actual profile name, and refers me to HR and/or Admin. But I have admin permission(s), and still can't change profile name.

The admin who originally set up the email is no longer with the company, and not sure if email was set up from a specific computer.

So that's where I'm at. Trying to find a way to override, but no luck.

Saw an answer on another question. Do I need to do a Powershell script? Thanks for any help

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to change default name that displays in Emails.

If you are using Outlook then In Outlook, choose File > Account Settings > Account Settings -> Select the email account that you want to change, and then choose Change. -> You can change your name on the Account Settings screen. To change the name that displays when you send email, update the Your name field.

If you still can not change then you may need to any other IT or Tenant Admin of your corporate mailbox. ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/add-users/change-a-user-name-and-email-address?view=o365-worldwide)
