Since you encounter the same issue on another laptop, it's more likely the issue is the monitor itself. You may still try the steps below:
- If you connected another display and it isn't showing in Settings, select Start > Settings > System > Display > Multiple displays > Detect.
- Update your GPU driver. Right-click the Windows start > select Device Manager > Find the Display Adapter and expand it > Right-click and select update. If that didn't work, follow the same steps but instead of updating, right-click and select uninstall. Restart your computer.
- Check for Windows updates. To check for updates, select Start, then search for settings. Select Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Press Windows logo key + P and select extend
