Or an emulated MS Windows OS, e.g. in Linux OS is ok for the use of Azure.

    Hi

Do you mean a Windows Client OS to connect to Azure and perform admin functions? No, its not required - you can connect using Azure CLI that can be installed on Linux distros. The article below gives details:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/install-azure-cli-linux?pivots=apt

You can also use the PowerShell module if preferred:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/azure/install-az-ps?view=azps-9.5.0

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks
