How to fix microphone stuck at 100 precent in test but not making any sound windows11

My microphone suddenly stopped working then i decided to do a test it in the microsoft settings and troubleshooted and said my micrphone was fine. I reset the laptop and checked a mic test on the internet and it still wasnt working. When i did the mic test on the internet it said there was no audio coming from the mic but in the computer settings it said there was 100% audio

    Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Mic sound not working.

    1. Make sure that your microphone or headset is the system default recording device. Here's how to do this in Windows 10 -> Select Start , then select Settings > System > Sound -> In Input, ensure your microphone is selected in Choose your input device -> To test your microphone, speak into it and check Test your microphone to make sure Windows is hearing you.
    2. Try to connect other USB headset on different computer port and check it its working.
    3. Disable App-Exclusive Control Exclusive mode -> Right-click on Microphone and then select the “Properties” -> make sure “Allow applicants to take exclusive control of this device” is unchecked. Now, you need to click on “Apply” and then select “OK” as depicted in the image below.
    4. Disable any Antivirus program you may have for temporary purpose.
