This is my "problem":
The PCI Simple Communications Controller is not installed.
Update results in:

I also used Search for drivers on Windows Update and was told: All drivers are up-to-date or similar

I was trying to find a driver for Pci Simple Communications Controller (right click on it properties,details,down arrow to hardware id, highlight everything,select all text, copy into browser) for Asus K52F for Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Turns out it was a Intel(R) Management Engine Interface. I went to Asus website couldn`t find it for 64 bit but found it for 32 bit, downloaded the file, opened it, select all files, copied the files to a new folder, clicked setup and it installed it. hope this helps Jay

I'd check the chipset has been installed. The manufacturer chipset allows the operating system to find and use devices integrated into the mother board.
