Remote Desktop Credentials not working

I'm using MS Remote Desktop to connect to an Azure Virtual Desktop.  I've been using the app on a Windows 10  Pro 22H2 without a problem to connect to my VD.  Today it is giving me the error "the credentials that were used to connect to <workspace> did not work."

When I access my VD using a web browser it works fine.  If i use a different computer with the app, it works fine.  If  i configure the app to use a different user, it will work for that user.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Bill

    Hello there,

As you are facing this issue only with specific devices try to clear the cache password in credential manager and see if that helps.

    Also try the below steps

Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type in ‘secpol.msc’ and press Enter. This will open up the Local Security Policy window.

Expand Local Policies and then select User Rights Assignment.

On the right-hand side, locate and double-click either ‘Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services’ or ‘Allow log on through Terminal Services’.

Click Add User or Group and then type in Remote Desktop Users.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
