Hi,

I am pulling hair out with this PXE issue and hoping I will get some lights pointing me in the right direction.

User's image

We configured PXE using IP Helper, not using DHCP options. PXE had been working for the past year without any issues since it was set up. We had not had to image a computer for 2 months, and now the need arose and all of a sudden we could no longer PXE boot.

We had the network team look into the configuration and nothing has changed. I disabled firewall to test, no difference. We have 2 switches configured for PXE and both are throwing the same message. When tested with an old laptop HP 850G3, we got the above message. When tested with a brand new Dell PC, the screen sat at "Start PXE over IPv4"

and would not move on.

PXE at other locations are still working, so I don't think it is the MP problem. I have read all the posts I came across about similar issue but nothing really helped.

I am not sure what else to try.

Thank you for your time!

    Hi @MTran

1, For PXE boot troubleshooting, we may verify IP Helpers first. For more information, please refer to following link. Besides, we may try to reinstall PXE.

    The link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/os-deployment/troubleshoot-pxe-boot-issues#solution-1-verify-ip-helpers

2, For error PXE-E53: No boot filename received, please help check smspxe.log to see if there are any useful information. Besides, please refer to this link to troubleshooting:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/os-deployment/advanced-troubleshooting-pxe-boot#troubleshooting-dhcp-discovery

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Best regards

    Cherry
