Windows 10 Audio issue after update

Hi folks was told to repost this here

I believe that the recent windows update, it has completely Ruined my audio.

My devices are detected and the audio devices are shown in the device manager but I still get that the windows audio service is not responding.

I have followed the steps here Fix sound or audio problems in Windows - Microsoft Support But these steps have not resolved the issue.

I have other users now reporting the same issue that audio is not working for them.

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Windows Audio.

If you suspect that its due to Windows update then you can try to Uninstall recent updates Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates . View update history -> locate the latest or last update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall next to it.

1. Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.
2. Run sfc /scannow from elevated prompt.
3. Run below DISM commands from elevated prompt.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

4. Uninstall Audio drivers from Device Manager and Install latest one from vendor website.
