How is Azure Private EndPoint priced?

Do I get charged for the Private EndPoint just by provisioning it, even though I do not use it?

All the docs point me to pricing by hr of usage and inbound and outbound dataflow but I am being told at work, private endpoint pricing is a subscription basis. You get charged for an year just for provisioning it and will be charged even when not used. Is that true.

Please clarify.

Thank You,

Madhuri Dara

Hi Madhuri Dara, I hope I can help you with this question.

In general, the Private Endpoint Service is free (mostly used by vendors), but once a Private Endpoint is created (mostly used by customers in azure tenants), it is billed on an hourly basis.

In addition, the inbound and outbound traffic is to be considered as additional costs per GB.
