Hi, this is my situation.

  1. I am the only administrator for my company.
  2. I set up 2-factor authentication for my account using Microsoft authenticator, and unfortunately, I didn't select the SMS as an alternative option.
  3. I broke my phone yesterday and cannot recover the data or app stored locally on my phone.
  4. I accidentally sign out from my account.
  5. Now I am stuck at the sign-in windows that ask me to enter the code from the authenticator app only

FYI:

  • The document tells me to report to admin (technically, it's me)
    • The document describes me to contact the helpdesk (technically, it's me again)
  • I can reset my account's password by setting up my recovered email account. But even I reset my account password. The sign-in window still asks for the code from the authentication app.
  • I also can access a few accounts belonging to my company's domain. But these accounts have no administrator role.
    • Our company has no more than 30 employees, so I think I cannot go on a fast track.

Please tell me how to solve this problem and make I access my Microsoft account again
