Try to configure a installer project for my application and I discovered that I'm unable to browse for icons or images from the several properties pages (user interface dialog, shortcuts, etc etc). Any hints?
This problems seems related to Visual Studio 2022 Community edition.
The previous Visual Studio 2019 Community edition seems not affected.
Have you tried to repair the VS2022 installation?
Also maybe try uninstalling the Installer Projects Extension and then reinstalling it.

Does this issue also appear in a newly created project(create a simple project > create a setup project > add shortcuts > verify this issue)?
Are you using any other extensions in VS 2022?
Please try to restart VS 2022 and try the suggestions shared by RLWA32.

Restart, repair the VS2022 installation, Installer Project extension reinstall, recreate the install project in my solution are all performed action. No way.
I worked on the very same solution with VS2019, created the install package (msi) and tested with no issue.
Then, just for curiosity, I reopened the same solution with VS 2022 and now I'm able to browse for images. IMHO probably there is something wrong in the project initialization performed by the Installer Project extension under VS 2022...

If you can confirm that this issue also appears on other newly created solutions/projects in VS 2022, I suggest report this issue here: VS Marketplace – Microsoft Visual Studio Installer Projects 2022 - Q&A.
If this issue only appears on a specific project/solution, I suggest try to remove cache(.vs folder in solution folder and ComponentModelCache folder in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\17.0_XXXXXXXX) and test again.
BTW, does resetting Visual Studio work?

If you try to run Visual Studio as administrator, will it work?
If you try to unload and then reload the project(right-click your project > Unload Project > right-click it again > Reload Project), will it work?
