Activating Windows on My Laptop

When I try to activate windows, this appears in settings, "We can't activate Windows on this device as we cant connect to your organization's network. Make sure you're connected to your organization's network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization's support person. Error code: 0x8007232B"

I have Microsoft 365 for business and want this activated on my laptop, what do I do?

Hello there,

If the product was purchased through Volume licensing and you are not a part of the organization, you would have to buy a new license and/or a new copy of Windows.

If you are aware that this PC belongs to an organization, you need to connect to the network and activate it. To check if this actually belonged to an organization, run this in an elevated command prompt:

slmgr.vbs /dlv

Check if the Product Key Channel says GVLK – In this case, your system is activated via volume licensing.

You can also contact your IT team to check if there are any requirements for activation.
