I am having a huge issue trying to log onto Remote desktop server. I recently installed a new Windows Server 2022 Virtual machine with Active Directory as a secondary server to a Windows 2012 Primary Domain Controller. I followed the steps to make the 2022 server as the primary domain controller and transferred all roles to 2022.

After rebooting one of my servers, I am unable to log onto the server, I tried creating a new user but still can't log onto my server. My user is Domain Admin, local Admin, Schema Admin but I cannot log on. I tried flushing DNS but doesn't make a difference. If I access the virtual machine from Hyper V manager, I am able to log onto the server without any issues but cannot log on via RDP.

I tried Microsoft built in RDP in Windows 11, Remote Desktop Manager and neither works. Please Help!

Domain Controller isn't pointing to a credential authority (itself) because the gateway was changed, so it uses cached credentials (as if it's not online/connected to the LAN).

I would login as the local admin, change the network settings (gateway) back to the previous setting and logout/login or reboot. With the updated network routes, your domain controller should authenticate by normal methods i.e. logging in with your domain admin account.
