I ran windows updates on my server (2019 Datacenter) yesterday. It downloaded and installed all the updates and notify me to restart the server. Since I want to postpone the restart, I used Scheduled Restart option to avoid the server being restart automatically outside active hours. I scheduled the server to restart next Monday. When I login to the server today, I noticed that the restart schedule is disappeared, and it is showing updates failed.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Windows update reboot.

When you Click on Retry button it should ask again for Reboot.

On this Server > Open Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > UpdateOrchestrator -> Right-click Reboot and choose Disable.

Then Enable it when you are ready to Reboot your Server.
