It appears that you have performed system cleanup using Registry editor, Check disk scan and using an SFC scan. There is a difference between system cleanup and clean installation of Windows. It is also clear that you have been playing “Star Wars: The old republic” in your machine very frequently.
Issue reported: Application keep crashing with respect to Star Wars towards system performance.
Please help us understand the configuration of your machine in terms of below listed requirement.
Windows version:
Graphic card and its driver version
Third party security software/antivirus: Yes/No
Is the machine connected to a domain: Yes/No
Do we use VPN in it: Yes/No
Please perform a below mentioned troubleshooting in a sequence mentioned below and share your findings.
· Create a restore point and fully backup your machine by using external drive and then keep the drive detached from the machine.
· Remove/uninstall third-party security software/antivirus and remove their dedicated folders from program files&x86 from the base drive.
· Remove/uninstall unwanted apps or cleanup software and remove their dedicated folders from program files&x86 from the base drive.
· Clear a temp folder, run disk clean up 24th and remove unwanted/abandoned shortcuts to desktop.
· Open command prompt by running it as an administrator and type “CHKDSK /f” and hit enter and type and ‘Y’ and restart your machine.
· Once the machine is restarted, open cmd using administrator and type “SFC /scannow” and hit enter and restart your machine.
· Update Windows Security and other security measures in Update & Security under Settings.
· Download and install all Windows Update and restart your machine.
· Update drivers for graphic card to a latest version and run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in cmd and restart your machine.
· Test your system and start playing your game, if you experience same problem, uninstall the game and its folder from the base drive.
· Open Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset your machine by keeping your files.
· Download a latest version of “Star Wars: The Old republic” compatible to Windows version/machine and install the game.
· Start playing your game and observe the system performance, same issue then perform a CHKDSK scan again and restart your machine.
· Start playing your game and observe the system performance, if same issue persists then Reset your machine by removing all data.
· Reinstall the game and observe the system performance and then reinstall other applications afterwards.
