Domain Local Group Security

Question

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might know the answer.

We have a DFS namespace in Domain A with domain local group in Domain A assigned.

The host server is also in Domain A.

The assignments are universal groups in Domain B with users assigned to these groups in Domain B.

Will this actually work as currently it does not?

Hello there,

Can you share the exact error message or Event ID you are getting?

The connection may fail because of any of the following reasons:

Failure to connect to a domain controller to obtain a DFSN namespace referral

Failure to connect to a DFSN server

Failure of the DFSN server to provide a folder referral

To resolve this problem, you must evaluate network connectivity, name resolution, and DFSN service configuration.
