Hello,

Some of our users (and me) get this error message, when opening pdf files from windows explorer (important only in windows explorer! In the browser it works).

This is appears to be the same / similar issue like here:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/Lync/en-US/c6ea7bbc-4caf-4c14-a275-0975dfd7cf81/office-online-server-2016-integration-with-sharepoint-2016-opening-pdf-file-throws-error-there-was?forum=sharepointadmin

The path is for sure shorter than 260 letters and we are running the newest Reader DC Version.

Additionally the error occurs with SharePoint 2016 and our soon new SharePoint Subscription Edition test environment.

If there are no spaces or special characters (don’t know which exactly yet) pdf files do open!

Strangely also for some users it works all the time without issue.

I think this is some adobe issue, but does someone know a solution?

Thanks
