WebXR support in different versions of Microsoft Edge.

I tried a simple scene using hand tracking feature in babylonjs playground on Microsoft Edge 110.0.1587.63 with Hololens2. But get error when click enter VR button.

Microsoft Edge supports WebXR. But there're still some known issues. You can check this doc to see whether you have encountered any of the known issues.

Understood. You can test in other browsers that support WebXR like Chrome (compatibility reference: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/WebXR_Device_API#browser_compatibility). Furthermore, you may need to contact Babylon.js support for more information.

When I use WebXR in babylonjs on chrome with Cosmos, the abstract hand meshes is normal.

So this issue seems not related to babylon.js.

Hi @Hao Wu,

As I searched in edge://flags/, I found three flags related to WebXR, especially the WebXR Hand Input flag. You can enable them for a test.

I tried to enable these flags, and the issue is still the same.

Get error when click enter VR button:"Failed to execute ‘requestSession’ on ‘XRSystem’:The session request contains invalid requiredFeatures and could not be fullfilled"。

You can reproduce this issue on Hololens2.

Since the HoloLens Team can reproduce this issue, then I believe it is a common issue. I suggest checking the babylon.js API support for Microsoft Edge. You can also report this issue to Edge Team by sending feedback. Just press Alt+Shift+I to send feedback in the browser.

What does "Checking the babylon.js API support for Microsoft Edge" mean? Do you mean this is still related to babylonjs?

Yes, at least there's such a possibility. Also, I've found a post on babylon.js forum saying that "It’s less the browser support and more the device support.". Since it is tested OK on Cosmos, then it may only indicate that Cosmos supports these babylon.js APIs instead of a matter of browsers. So, you can also test in Microsoft Edge with Cosmos and see the result.
