How to Upgrade ClipChamp

Every time I try to upgrade my ClipChamp through the desktop App it opens a browser and I get the following message

"invalid_request: The provided value for the input parameter 'redirect_uri' is not valid. The expected value is a URI which matches a redirect URI registered for this client application."

How can I resolve this issue?

Can you try to uninstall the app and get the latest application from their website?

A redirect URI, or reply URL, is the location where the authorization server sends the user once the app has been successfully authorized and granted an authorization code or access token.

Even with the latest version of the app, this error continues. The solution that worked for me was to ignore the error message, open a new browser window, go to clipchamp.com and login, do the upgrade there (i.e. selecting billing method, etc.), go back to the window with the error, close it, and then app recognized the upgrade had been made. You may need to try clicking "upgrade" one more time in the Clipchamp app, and you may see the error one more time, but when you close that error window, Clipchamp should be upgraded. You should see the success message in the Clipchamp app (that's what worked for me), but if not, exit the app and then launch it again.

Microsoft really should update the backend interface to properly support in-app upgrades, but this workaround should do the trick for you.

i tried to do the upgrade from the website too and it did the same thing. Its not working for me at all. Wonder why this is an issue for everyone and hasnt been resolved on their end yet.

I am having the same issue today. Did everything that was mentioned above. Nothing works. The service just keeps "looping", it sends me back over and over again, asking me to log in with my microsoft credentials. After a while it says that logging in isn't possible and it just times out. Really frustrated. I hope you fix this soon. I am on Windows 11 pro.

So i ended up going to a different browser and typing it into google ‘Clipchamp.com’ and going from there and it somehow worked. It doesn’t work from the actual extension on your computer or if you sign in and it directs you to their webpage.

That's not working either for me. At this point I think I'm going to go with another provider, this is just insane. I've been trying this for the past two days.
