I recently had a sofware update for BIOS for windows 10. When I ran the update I got an error and it ended up crashing my whole windows 10 OS. I ended up installing Ubuntu OS to run on my pc. When I created a bootable USB for windows 10 using a different laptop when it came to the windows 10 installation process, at the part for selecting a partition to install windows into, no partitions are showing, so its not recognizing my pcs hard drive. I even tried creating a NTFS partition using GParted on Ubuntu but still the same error. How can I fix this?

This is a bit vague but in general partitions do not exist on a new or clean or otherwise empty disk, they (one or more) must be created and this can be done as part of the process of installing windows.
