Purchase of Microsoft 365 Basic has disbled my laptops desktop apps

I recently purchased Microsoft 365 Basic in order to increase my OneDrive memory capacity. In doing so, my desktop apps on my personal laptop have been disabled. How can I get access to them again? I don't like the online versions of the apps. I prefer the desktop versions.
