Does Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL support logical decoding?

Hi, I want to use debezium to stream CDC events from the Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL cluster. But it seems that I cannot create a user (role) with REPLICATION privilege via the citus user. So how can I get a user with REPLICATION privilege?

Hi, @Siyuan Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform, and thanks for using Azure Services.

We don’t support CDC/logical decoding yet in Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL. We’re going to add CDC support in the future but don’t have a specific timeframe for it yet.

@Siyuan While it’s not a CDC replacement (no change feed there), the closest would be Azure Data Factory

@Nayan Chhabhaiya We don’t have specific time for CDC in Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL. In practical terms, that would mean we don’t expect it in the next 12 months.

@GeethaThatipatri-MSFT Is there any other guidance to getting data out of Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL into something like blob storage w/o logical decoding?

I have been digging through the docs for Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL today and there are a number of articles on importing, but not much on getting data out for analysis.
