Microsoft 365 Basic and Personal

I have a yearly subscription to Microsoft 365 Basic (One Drive and Outlook); it ends on September 2023.

I also have a monthly subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal; I just started it.

Both are under the same email. Can I safely cancel my subscription to Microsoft 365 Basic without affecting any of my files in One Drive?

    Depends on the tenant name - make sure that both your personal and the Business Basic are in the same Azure AD Tenant / subscription and then switching license is seamless
