How to create a dataset to dblink

Hello,
is it possible to create a dataset that connects to an Oracle dblink? In the list of tables shown there are no references to the dblink.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your query. As I understand your question, you want to know how to create a dataset for oracle DBLink. Please let me know if that is not the case.

Dataset is a reference to the datastore created on top of the linked service which holds the connection string for the datastore. So, dataset can be created for a particular datastore.

For instance, Oracle is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that stores and manages data in a structured format. On the other hand, Oracle Database Link (DBLink) is a feature that enables a database to access data in another database , it is like a connection between two databases.

So, we can't create a dataset for Oracle DB link, but we can create it for Oracle database.

my dblink is only a way to connect to sap, my goal is to write data from a file into sap table.

now I now it's not possibile to sink data into an oracle dblink; I tried also to do the sink passing through a "SAP Table" dataset, but it seems that even this is not possible.

So, how can I write into sap table through a copy activity?

My goal is to write a data into SAP table throgh a Copy activity; it seems to be not possible, neither by passing through a dblink oracle nor with a SAP Table object (it doesn't appear in the list of datasets in the sink).

Is there a way to write into a SAP table from a copy activity?

63877242 You can use the SAP table connector in Azure Data Factory to copy data from a source data store to an SAP table.
