What could cause the CTRY header to be different from connected IP region?

We have a local server that sends SMTP notifications to Exchange Online. Since yesterday, those notifications have been moved to quarantine and the only thing I see that has changed is the country/region header now shows UZ instead of US. When I send an email using the same one used for the SMTP notifications, I do not have that issue. We have not changed anything on our server, our M365 organization, or DNS records.

I'm out of ideas as to why this might be happening. In the meantime, I've reported and released all of the messages in quarantine but I'd like to figure out the exact reason why.

    Hi @Blake Spease ,

It is not an Exchange server related issue as you have not made configuration changes. You should contact Microsoft Support for the exact reason.

Turns out Microsoft incorrectly added our IP geolocation to a different country. They fixed it sometime last night.
