- Open Chrome and click on the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to the "Search engine" section and click on "Manage search engines."
- Find Google in the list of search engines and click on the three dots to the right of it.
- Select "Make default."
If Google is already set as the default search engine, try changing your default search engine in your Windows settings:
- Click on the Windows Start button and select "Settings."
- Select "Apps" from the menu.
- Click on "Default apps" on the left-hand side.
- Scroll down to the "Web browser" section and click on your preferred browser (e.g. Chrome).
- Restart your computer and see if the issue has been resolved.
If neither of these solutions work, you can try resetting your browser settings to default:
- Open Chrome and click on the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Advanced."
- Click on "Reset settings" under the "Reset and clean up" section.
- Restart Chrome and see if the issue has been resolved.
