How can I reopen registration for a rescheduled Teams webinar?

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this situation.

I hosted a Teams webinar a couple of weeks ago. I'm hosting another webinar for the same attendees next month. I wanted to reschedule the original webinar so registration could stay open to new attendees and current attendees wouldn't have to register again.

I was not able to reschedule the meeting in my Teams calendar.

In my Outlook calendar I was able to reschedule the meeting. This is reflected in my Teams calendar also. However, when I visit the registration page, it states the event is over and registration is closed.

Is there something I can do to open registration again?

Many thanks for any help.

    Hi @Nadia-9627

By default, registration is only open until the end of the meeting unless the organizer enables and sets a different registration end time. You won't be able to reopen registration after the meeting. This is by design.

For Teams webinars, meeting links never expire. As long as you send attendees a participation link instead of a registration link, attendees don't need to register to join. In addition, it allows anonymous participation in meetings.

The difference between the participation link and the registration link is as follows:
