How do we get OneDrive to launch automatically for the first time without forcing end users to launch OneDrive manually, when we have already enabled silent configuration but we are leveraging multi-factor authentication, so it does not work?

We have enabled the following policies:

· Silently move Windows known folders to One Drive

· Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync app with their Windows credentials

However, we leverage multi-factor authentication (MFA), so this does NOT work. Is there a workaround when leveraging MFA?

We do understand that the "Silent account configuration won't work on devices for users who require multi-factor authentication. "

We simply want the application to automatically launch for the first time and prompt users to sign in when we enable one drive policy for our end users.

I have the exact same question. If we can't automatically log them in - how can we at least prompt them to log in the first time?

Yes! This a huge problem for us, too! We've had MS365 implemented for over a year but I still stumble onto users who are not signed into their OneDrive. Need to be able prompt users to do the "right thing"!

Has anyone found an answer to this? So for certain if you have MFA enabled, we currently use Duo after windows login, that "Silently sign in users to the OneDRive sync app....." will not work?
