My windows server 2019 has joined WSUS, how do I set it so that my windows server does not automatically restart after installation and update? I want it not to restart automatically after updating, let me decide when to restart manually, because my device is too important to be interrupted suddenly, below is my update policy setting

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Windows auto update do not reboot.

There is a Task scheduler which is responsible for Reboot after Windows update , you can disable it

    Step 1: Open Task Scheduler.

Step 2: Navigate to Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > UpdateOrchestrator.

Step 3: Right-click Reboot and select Disable it.

An update requiring a restart is not completely installed until the restart happens. For this reason, you can't automatically install updates and stop the restart. You would want to set the GPO to 3, which will check and download the updates, but not install the updates until you manually install the updates and restart.

See part 4 of my guide which will give you a ringed based approach.
