Oh no, Rob! It appears you've been added to a spam group on Teams using your personal account.
You can remove yourself from the group by following the instructions here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-edit-or-delete-a-contact-group-in-teams-f66f2e30-df9b-459e-871d-9bc8f025cd3a
Specifically, refer to the following:
Delete a contact group
Go to Chat
on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown, and then choose More options
beside the group’s name. Next, select Delete this group. Remove someone from a contact group
Go to Chat
on the left, select Contacts from the Chat dropdown, choose More options
beside the person’s name, and then select Remove from this group.
Users have also reported on some forums that they also had to uninstall Teams from their PC altogether and reinstall for the changes to permanently take effect, but I cannot confirm this. See https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/cant-delete-spam-group-conversation-on-windows-11/83c07589-76b3-403d-9190-fa350d941e42, specifically
Dear all I got the solution. Unsubscribe the group or try to delete it. At first this seems to not work at all. The second step is to completely uninstall MS Team e.g. with a tool like RevoUninstaller. After reinstalling MS Teams, the rogue group is gone. This does not relieve Microsoft from its duty to deliver abuse proof solutions, of course. Best regards, Alex
Be sure to block whoever added you to the group as well to avoid contact with the spam account in the future.
I hope this helps!
