Calendar from Teams channel doesn't show when accessing from Teams mobile app and Viva Connections?

I have added the Group Calendar web part to the home page of my Teams SharePoint site. When viewing the home page from the Teams desktop app or through the browser window, the events display correctly. When viewing from the Teams mobile app and Viva Connections, the events do not display and I get the following message: The group calendar is only available to its members. To see the group calendar, join NAME OF TEAM. I get the same experience when I access the Teams SharePoint site through the SharePoint mobile app as well.

How can I get the calendar events to show when viewing the Teams SharePoint site on mobile?

What is your version of Teams client?

To exclude the client issue, could you try to login Teams web client to see if this issue can be reproduced?

I accessed the SharePoint site via the Google Chrome app. The calendar events displayed correctly:

Facing same issue with Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.6754 (64-bit) on Windows.
Accessing Microsoft Teams via the Google Chrome app shows the calender as expected.

Hi there,

I am having a similar issue:

When I open my SharePoint page on SharePoint, I can view my Team calendar upcoming events.

However, when I open the same SharePoint page embedded into the Teams x64 app ("You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.16472 (64-bit). It was last updated on 17/06/2023.") , it won't let me view the calendar:

Now, I tried what was suggested above, to open Teams within the web browser, and curiously, the SharePoint Page as embedded into Teams allows me to view the calendar in the browser, but not the app.

For further context, I am using an MS business account and I am the only owner and member of these sites, so I don't believe it's a permissions issue.

I'm also having the same issue. MS should have never tried to merge SP with Teams. SP is (or was) way better and the focus should have been to improve on what was already their then build yet another app to do the same thing, but crappier.

I know this thread is dated, but I'll chip in because it may help others debug.

Specifically, I have encountered this problem on both my Android (Galaxy S-22 Ultra) and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as my macBook M1 Max (2021).

It's not a permissions issue, as I am the business owner and set permissions for the organization. It is also not a Chrome vs. Other Browsers issue. I am typing within Chrome right now, and the error message still appears. Nor does it matter whether I navigate to the Web version of Teams vs. desktop. The problem persists in either arena.

And, yes, I have "joined" the Groups in question. I created them, and they display just fine in the native SharePoint site. It's only when I try to view the content on a mobile device, or here on my macBook through Teams, that I get this problem.

I would love to get this solved, as it is a real issue!
