How to add drop downs to header in SharePoint Online

Hi there,

I've asked this question before but at the time, we did not have the features on our original SharePoint. We created the original Site from our main site (see picture below). Later on we tried creating the site from teams (see second picture below), then the features to create drop downs were available to us.

We want to avoid recreating our lists and apps to match the new SharePoint. I was wondering if there was somehow a way to move our side vertical navigation to be positioned at the top as a horizontal navigation? It's much more organized and easier to use this way.

Here's what our settings & navigation look like in the original SharePoint. Based on my research, not all features are available in this site. All features were available in the new site created from teams.

You can see where i tried to add headings at the top of the 'Settings'. I've looked into other ways of recreating this but no luck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

    Hi @Jadarius Anderson ,

The new Navigation feature is not supported in the sites which have SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature enabled under Site Collection Features in Site Settings.

The sites which do not have SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature enabled, show three options i.e., Theme, Header and Navigation and site which has this feature enabled shows only Theme and Header.

Once you deactivate the said feature, the Navigation button will appear in Change the look under Settings menu, you can then change the Orientation to Horizontal>Mega menu or Cascading.
