Is there a way to change site's template GROUP#0 to STS#3 (Site relation to 365 group)

I have a GROUP#0 site with GroupID and RelatedGroupID a valid Guid but that Guid points to a 365 group that was deleted long ago (not in the deleted groups)

Is there away to clear GroupID and RelatedGroupID so I can use "Connect to new Microsoft 365 Group" to assign a group to the site?

Or a way to change site's template GROUP#0 to STS#3 and then use "Connect to new Microsoft 365 Group"

Thank you

    Hi @Gal, Ofer (Israel),

As per experience, it is near to impossible to change the template once you create the site collection. Microsoft has built a structure in each template once you change your existing site collection template then many features not supported in other template and throws the error.

In your case, I'm afraid you have to build a new site using template STS#3 and migrate the old site to the new one using 3rd party tool as an alternative.
