I am unable to open Excel files in Desktop App in Teams, until I rename the file. I am able to open the Excel in Teams. And my colleagues are able to open the file as usual. Why is it that I am not able to open the file, even though others are able to open it, or i am able to open in Teams view.

    Hi @Prabhat John Munjanatt

1.Does this happen to all excel files, including newly created excel files in Teams?

2.Would there be any error messages if you try to open excel via desktop application? If possible please post a screenshot. (Don't forget to hide your personal information)

3.If you set the default File open preference to Desktop app, would it help with this issue? 01

Rename the file and it should open.
