Microsoft authenticator app needs authentification

Question

So my university has Microsoft 365 but our it service doesn't seem to know. Its registered on our old email address which changed 2 years ago. So I got a new phone and installed the authetificator app but the app says it needs authentication from the app. So what do I do? I can't contact an administrator because my university is unaware we students can even use it
