The entire Outlook/Hotmail inbox UI is flashing strangely on Firefox & Chrome whether checked from my Mac laptop or Android phone. It's the message list that is constantly flashing. It slows & prevents clicking on any other Outlook/email functions or features. How to fix? Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem 10am today April4. Mail inbox blank, then flashes on, showing all to days email so far, then flashes off before I can even move the mouse ! Dell and Outlook

When I log in or refresh, I see emails in the inbox for half a second, then the inbox flashes blank. Does not happen with other folders.

Same for me on two entirely different machines - Lenovo desktop running Windows 8.1 and a Medion Laptop running Windows 11. Only common deminators are Hotmail email address, Winows and Firefox. I cleared Firefox cache and cookies but that made no difference.

Same problem for me, starting April 3rd (2023). SOLUTION: Disabled the in browser adblocker I was using. :( (Macbook pro/firefox)
Thank you Brian. That worked for me, although I now have a bloody silly ad appearing as the top entry in my inbox. As a work around I was importing Hotmail into a new email address I set up with Mail.com. I must say I'm getting very fed up with Microsoft messing around with things that work perfectly ....until they decide to "improve" them. They've made a mess of the ribbon bar and I had a major problem with groups which took several months for them to sort out. All of their own making. Time, I think, regretfully, to start migrating to a new email provider.

Im sure its something microsoft did so people starts using edge and stop using chrome, at least for emails. Hotmail is the only weapon that remains for microsoft. Im not having any problems in edge, only in chrome.

Till Microsoft fixes the issue with Bing, the solution is open a private window for the browser, then Hotmail will work without a flashing screen. Hotmail also works without issues in the Chrome browser.
Solved! It was definitely the adblocker I was using. However, if you change yours to Adblock Plus (not the same as Adblock), you are able to whitelist sites. Started off causing the same problem but as soon as I whitelisted Hotmail, it stopped. Make sure you opt to have it displayed on ypour toolbar (RHS in Firefox) for easy access. Go to Hotmail site, then click on the symbol and you cans slide a button that whitelists the site.

Hello all, i also had same issue, with both firefow and chrome it seems it's solved .... by disabling ad blockers :( i got no more flash or inbox infinite reload since i disabled adblock from firefox and ublock origin from chrome i hope this will help

I disabled my adblocker (AdGuard 4.1.55), but it looks like Microsoft found how to block adblockers, I tried ABP and also glitch.
