Hello Experts...

We have centralized shared folders for users' directories and configured offline sync for all users. Many users complain that when they save MS office files like excel and word from the office network, it works perfectly and quickly. But from outside the office, like from home, it's hanging for a while. How can we bypass these slows?

Hope your support

Hello There, check while disabling the add ins From a Word document, select File at the top. Select Options at the bottom. Click on the Add-ins option from the left-column. Next, hit the Go button beside the Manage drop-down menu. Uncheck the boxes to disable unnecessary add-ins. You can also remove those add-ins entirely. When done, hit OK button. Try saving the file again and see if the issue persists. Or Step 1: Right-click on the Windows key and open Task Manager. Step 2: Find Microsoft Word from the list and select the End Task button at the bottom. Step 3: Open Microsoft Word and try opening the same document. Step 4: The software will automatically ask you to restore the previous version with recent edits. If you don’t see such an option, you can click on File at the top and open the Info menu. Step 5: Select Version History and open the previous version from the list. And see if it helps, Thank you --If the reply is helpful, please Upvote and Accept as answer--

Sadly it seems that Microsoft Word and probably other products want to send a whole lot f information back and forth, and the lag is due to waits for the servers to connect. I tried quitting OneDrive because it isn't connected anyway, sadly that didn't work. I have had to connect to the internet and wait 120 seconds to get any sense out of Word at all. Which makes me wonder who is reading all my company's information?
