Azure policy export - Export definitions buttons

Hello, Sorry if the question seems simple but last week I did some tests to try to export Azure policies. I was able to test with the "export definition" button that appears in the azure definition tab next to the "create initiative" and "create definition" options.

But now, I don't see this button anymore. My permissions haven't changed since last week and I've tried several things without success (change scope, log out / log in, change account, check my permissions).

I have currently the "resource policy contributor " role at the tenant level. The initiative I am trying to export is located at the tenant level as well.

But I can't seem to export these policies because the button doesn't appear. I'm going to try through CLI but I would like to understand why I can't see it. Even when selecting the three small dots next to an initiative or a definition the option does not appear anymore. Has anything changed recently?

Thanks in advance for your help. Sorry in advance if the answer is hidden in the Microsoft documentation. Have a good day.

I'm answering myself, which might help someone else: the "Export definitions" feature was recently removed. Microsoft is in the process of updating the documentation, which is why there are still mentions on some documentation pages. The fact that we can sometimes still see the button is probably related to how we are rolling out the changes to the regions.

@GISLARD Enzo EXT , thank you for sharing the answer with the community. You are right. The "Export Defintion" feature was recently removed due to scalibility and based on the usage pattern. Moving forward, this option will be made available through SDK only. For more details, please see the updated documentation here - Export Azure Policy resources.
