.exe files and .jar files won't open.

Question

I recently got a new computer with Windows 11 installed. Since then, I've tried opening .exe and .jar files but they refuse to open. There isn't any error code or anything, just a window that opens up for half a second and then immediately closes. I've downloaded the correct versions of Java jre and jdk for the .jar files but to no avail. I've tried so much but nothing's been working. I'm not sure why the .exe files won't open either. I've never had these problems before on Windows 10.
